Our Story
Pokémon Battles was created by James, a 6-year-old Pokémon fan, together with his dad Paul. James dreamed up what the ultimate Pokémon battle game should look like, and together they brought it to life using AI coding tools. You could call it "vibe-coded" into existence — James described what he wanted, and the code appeared like magic.
What started as a simple battle between two Pokémon grew into a full game with a shop, power-ups, forest exploration, online battles, and more. Every feature was inspired by what James and his brother Luca thought would be awesome.
Safe and Family-Friendly
Pokémon Battles is designed with families in mind. There are no ads, no tracking cookies, no in-app purchases, and no chat features. Kids can play freely without parents worrying about hidden costs or inappropriate content. The game runs entirely in your browser — no downloads or accounts required.
Game Features
- Battles — Choose your Pokémon and battle against opponents with energy beams, screen shakes, and particle effects.
- Forest Exploration — Walk through the forest to discover and catch wild Pokémon using your collection of Pokéballs.
- Shop — Earn points from victories and spend them on power-ups, special attacks, auras, and rare Pokéballs.
- Game Modes — Normal battles, No Rules chaos mode, Survival mode, Creative mode, and 2-Player local battles on the same keyboard.
- Mega Evolution & V-Max — Transform your Pokémon mid-battle for devastating power boosts.
- Online Battles — Print an invite code or share it with friends, then battle each other from different devices.
How to Play
Getting started is easy. Type your name on the welcome screen, pick a Pokémon, and start battling. Tap the attack buttons to deal damage — each attack has different power levels and effects. Win battles to earn points, then visit the shop to unlock new abilities. Explore the forest to grow your collection, or invite a friend for online battles.
On the 2-Player mode, Player 1 uses the A, S, D, and F keys while Player 2 uses H, J, K, and L. It is great fun to play side-by-side.
